Sporting Kansas City will continue the regular season campaign against fellow MLS charter club Colorado Rapids at 8:30 p.m. CT on Saturday at DICK'S Sporting Goods Park in Commerce City, Colo.
The Western Conference match-up will be available to watch in English (Christian Miles and Kacey White) and Spanish (Raul Guzman) on Apple TV while pub partners in the Sporting Pub Network will also show all of the action, including the club's official watch party at The Bullpen (11315 W. 135th St.) in Overland Park, Kan., featuring giveaways and Season Ticket Member discounts. In addition, local radio coverage will air on Sports Radio 810 WHB (Blake Aerni and Jon Kempin) and La Grande 1340 AM (Josue Orantes and Diego Gutierrez) with audio streams in the SKC mobile app.
Sporting Kansas City has faced Colorado 93 times across all competitions since 1996 -- making the Rapids the most frequent opponent in SKC history -- including the club's inaugural game on April 13, 1996. Sporting won both match-ups last season, including the club's most recent trip to DICK'S Sporting Goods Park on July 4, 2025 with a 2-1 victory to secure the team's first road win in Colorado since March 29, 2014.
Dejan Joveljic scored in both games against Colorado last season and the 27-year-old Designated Player leads the team with eight goals and a pair of assists in 2026. The Serbian striker has scored or assisted on over 55% of Sporting's goals this season, which ranks third highest in Major League Soccer.

Behind Joveljic, Sporting Kansas City forward Calvin Harris ranks second on the team with seven goal contributions (two goals, five assists) this season. Saturday's showdown will see the 26-year-old winger return to Colorado to face a Rapids side that he tallied 10 goals and nine assists for in 77 regular season appearances from 2023-2025.
Sporting, which has lost four of the club's last five games, will be without Lasse Berg Johnsen on Saturday while the Norwegian midfielder serves a one-game suspension following his red card in the team's 2-0 loss to the Houston Dynamo last time out. The 26-year-old has appeared in every match since arriving in Kansas City, starting 15 of 16 games in all competitions.
The Rapids are led by first-year head coach Matt Wells, whose roster is the youngest in MLS and features Designated Players Paxten Aaronson and Rafael Navarro. Aaronson, a member of the U.S. Olympic Team in 2024 and Gold Cup squad in 2025, has four goals and five assists in 2026 while Navarro, who has led the Rapids in scoring each of the last two years with 17 goals in 2024 and 15 goals in 2025, once again has a team-high nine goals in 2026 to go along with four assists.
The duo each scored in the previous matchup with Aaronson bagging a brace and Navarro recording three goal contributions (one goal, two assists) in the Rapids 4-1 win at Sporting Park on March 21. Since then, the Rapids have advanced to the U.S. Open Cup semifinals and have revamped the roster with three departures - headlined by 18-year-old Lucas Herrington's transfer to Premier League side Hull City this week -- and four new additions, including French attacker Youssef Maziz who will be available for the first time this weekend.
Defensively, Colorado has given up only one goal in three games since the World Cup while offensively the Rapids have not scored multiple goals in any of their last 10 matches.
