U.S. Soccer announced today that Sporting Kansas City II defender Luca Antongirolami will join the U.S. Under-17 Men’s National Team for an international training camp from Sept. 21-Oct. 4 in San Pedro Del Pinatar, Spain.
Head coach Jeremy Hall has chosen 22 players -- with Antongirolami one of eight defenders on the roster -- for the training camp as the team begins preparations ahead of Concacaf qualifying for the FIFA U-17 World Cup.
During the camp, the team will play four matches at Pinatar Arena beginning with a meeting against Scotland on Sept. 26 before taking on Netherlands on Sept. 29, facing off with Belgium on Oct. 1 and concluding the trip against France on Oct. 3.
The upcoming window marks the first U.S. U-17 MNT camp for players born in 2010, as the age groups change in the summer.

This month’s camp is a part of the Federation’s continued focus on the U.S. Way philosophy, which emphasizes increased programming for Youth National Teams to create more opportunities for young players to advance through the pathway to the senior National Team with the goal of representing their country at a world championship.
Antongirolami, a 15-year-old Kansas City native, sgined his first professional contract on July 6, joining SKC II for the remainder of the 2026 MLS NEXT Pro season and the 2027 MLS NEXT Pro Sprint Season. He will elevate to the first team as a Homegrown Player ahead of the 2027-28 MLS season.
The defender has been a regular member of the U.S. Youth National Team setup since 2024, representing his country at the U-14, U-15 and U-16 levels. He notably competed in the 2025 Concacaf U-15 Championship last August before most recently participating at the Vertex Cup with the U.S. U-16s in April 2026. Antongirolami also represented Sporting KC at the 2026 MLS NEXT All-Star Game presented by All State in North Carolina, playing the entire second half.
The SKC Academy product joined the Academy at the age of 10 in 2021 and has competed in two Generation adidas Cup tournaments with the SKC Academy, including captaining the U-16s at the prestigious event this year. In 2025 as the captain of the U-15s, he helped the group reach the 2025 MLS NEXT Cup Playoffs after a perfect showing at MLS NEXT Flex in May. He made his pro debut on Feb. 28, 2026 in Sporting KC II's season opener – becoming the second youngest player in SKC II history. He has started eight of 12 appearances for SKC II, playing 799 minutes.
