In June 2025, just after finishing first grade, Vivian began experiencing unexplained morning nausea and vomiting. When her symptoms became daily, her pediatrician referred her to Children's Mercy, where a CT scan revealed a mass in her cerebellum. The next morning, Vivian underwent surgery, and pathology confirmed medulloblastoma.

The months that followed brought radiation, chemotherapy, surgeries, and many difficult days. Through it all, Vivian showed incredible strength and courage. Her kitten, Lily, was always by her side, while music, swimming, and time with the people she loves brought her joy and comfort.

After completing treatment, Vivian's MRI showed no evidence of tumor regrowth. Today, Vivian is embracing life after treatment and making the most of each day.
