Sporting Kansas City announced Wednesday that the team is now accepting initial payments for new Season Ticket Members for the 2012 season at LIVESTRONG Sporting Park.
Beginning today, fans may reserve their seats to see all the exciting Major League Soccer action and other soccer events at LIVESTRONG Sporting Park next season by making an initial payment of $100 per seat. Those making an initial payment for season tickets in 2012 will also receive priority access for tickets to any home playoff matches at LIVESTRONG Sporting Park in 2011.
"Sporting Kansas City's fans have shown tremendous enthusiasm for the team, which resulted in a remarkable increase in season tickets during the 2011 season," said Andrew Steinberg, Sporting Kansas City’s Executive Vice President for Revenue. "We have received great input from our members, and we are excited to implement several new products based on their feedback. With the help of our loyal supporters, we believe that LIVESTRONG Sporting Park is quickly becoming the most intimidating place to play in the MLS."
Season tickets for the 2012 season at LIVESTRONG Sporting Park start as low as $260 per seat, or just $13 per game, for the entire year. This represents a decrease from the most affordable option available to Season Ticket Members in 2011.
Fans can call 888-4KC-GOAL or visit SportingKC.com to place their initial payment. Fans will then have the ability to choose exact seat locations in mid-October.

Sporting Kansas City will offer nine different seating categories for the 2012 season, two of which were not available in 2011. Due to high demand, fans ages 21 an older now have the option to purchase season tickets in the Budweiser Corner at LIVESTRONG Sporting Park, an all-inclusive terrace area which provides stadium-style food options and draft beer choices.
Another new seating package for 2012 is the Sporting Family Plan. Offered exclusively in the Providence Sporting Zone, the Sporting Family Plan gives fans the option to purchase two season tickets and receive two more for children ages 12 and under for free. Season tickets in the Providence Sporting Zone start at $380 for the entire 2012 season.
Current Sporting Kansas City Season Ticket Members are encouraged to renew their 2011 season tickets by September 28th. Seating priority for the 2012 season will be available to all current Sporting Kansas City season ticket members who renew their 2011 season tickets before the renewal deadline.
LIVESTRONG Sporting Park opened during the 2011 Major League Soccer season and is already considered one of the best fan experiences in North American soccer. The new stadium brought in teams from around the world, including the U.S. Men’s National Team for the 2011 CONCACAF Gold Cup and the English Premier League’s Newcastle United FC. Both matches were included in 2011 Sporting Kansas City Season Ticket packages.
The venue will also host two more historic events in 2011. The U.S. Women’s National Team will play Canada on September 17th in their first international match since the 2011 FIFA World Cup final. On October 12th, Club Deportivo Guadalajara makes their return to Kansas City when they face Sporting Kansas City in a highly anticipated international friendly.
