Sporting Kansas City announced today that defender Robert Voloder has undergone successful surgery to repair a fractured left clavicle. The procedure was performed under the care of orthopedic surgeon Dr. Kirk McCullough at the Kansas City Orthopaedic Institute. Voloder is expected to make a full recovery in six to eight weeks.
Voloder has made 13 appearances across all competitions so far in 2025 and started six straight matches alongside Jansen Miller from April 26 through May 24, with the team posting two shutouts and conceding just seven goals during that time. Voloder has been named to the MLS Team of the Matchday twice this season: following the team’s 1-0 win over the LA Galaxy on May 4 and the 0-0 draw at San Diego FC on May 17.
The German joined Sporting ahead of the 2022 season and has tallied one goal and two assists in 71 appearances across all competitions.
Sporting is back in action this weekend when the team travels to take on the Houston Dynamo at Shell Energy Stadium on Saturday night. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. CT on MLS Season Pass via Apple TV and Sports Radio 810 WHB.
