Sporting Kansas City announced today that defender Or Blorian will be sidelined for the remainder of the 2026 Major League Soccer season.
Following a consultation with the club’s primary care physician, Dr. Neal Erickson, Blorian was referred to the team’s cardiologist, Dr. Anthony Magalski, at Saint Luke’s Hospital of Kansas City where he underwent extensive cardiac testing and had a procedure on his heart.
“I would like to thank the medical staff at the club as well as Dr. Erickson and Dr. Magalski for identifying the problem and acting so fast to save my life,” Blorian said. “I already feel so much better, I am staying positive and hope to have a speedy recovery. I will stay in Kansas City with the guys every day for the rest of the season and I look forward to supporting the team at the game tomorrow.”
Blorian, 26, joined Sporting KC in June after winning the Israeli Premier League title with Hapoel Be’er Sheva in the spring. Blorian made his debut for Sporting on July 16 at St. Louis and has appeared in seven matches for the club.
