Sporting Kansas City announced today that the club has acquired $175,000 in General Allocation Money (GAM) from CF Montreal in exchange for a 2025 international roster spot.
The transaction will see Sporting receive $75,000 in 2025 GAM and $100,000 in 2026 GAM.
Sporting now has seven international spots on its 2025 roster, one of which is open and six are occupied by the following players: Zorhan Bassong, Joaquin Fernandez, Manu Garcia, Dejan Joveljic, Alan Montes and Shapi Suleymanov.
Sporting will travel to the Pacific Northwest this weekend to take on the Seattle Sounders in a nationally televised contest on Sunday night at Lumen Field. The Western Conference showdown is slated for 8:15 p.m. CT with live coverage on FS1, FOX Deportes, Apple TV+, MLS Season Pass and Sports Radio 810 WHB.
