The International Champions Cup announced today that German champions FC Bayern Munich and Italian powerhouse A.C. Milan will play at Children’s Mercy Park in Kansas City, Kan., on July 23 with kick off set for 8 p.m. CT.
This event was originally scheduled to take place at Arrowhead Stadium, however due to unprecedented wet weather impacting a construction project at the world-class venue, the matchup between two of the sport’s most historic and successful teams will now be held at Sporting Kansas City’s state-of-the-art, soccer-specific stadium.
Sporting Kansas City Season Ticket Members will receive information today about pre-sale opportunities this week and tickets will be available to the general public online at Ticketmaster.com beginning Saturday at 10 a.m. CT. Individuals who purchased tickets previously will receive new tickets via their original Ticketmaster delivery method, as well as additional details surrounding the change of location.

Children’s Mercy Park has attracted many of soccer’s most prestigious matches since opening in 2011 and will welcome fans from across the Midwest to experience two international soccer events this summer. The U.S. Men’s National Team will play Panama in a 2019 Concacaf Gold Cup doubleheader at Children’s Mercy Park on June 26 and the International Champions Cup will bring FC Bayern Munich and A.C. Milan to Kansas City for the first time on July 23.
FC Bayern Munich are five-time UEFA Champions League winners and have finished atop the German Bundesliga table the past seven seasons with a roster featuring Thomas Muller, Robert Lewandowski and Manuel Neuer. A.C. Milan have seven UEFA Champions League trophies in their storied history, to go along with 18 league titles in Italy’s Serie A.
