Academy Performance Coach
GAVIN SCOTTÂ joined the Sporting KC Academy in January of 2026 after growing up in Eyre Scotland, and earning pro minutes for Stranraer FC in Scottland's League 1 during the 2017-2018 season. He attended Union University where he started all 54 of his appearances, scoring 31 goals and 13 assists for the Bulldogs. At Union he earned Academic All-American honors and was named to the All-South Region, All-Conference and Gulf South Conference teams while being named Most Outstanding Player after setting the School's NCAA Division 2 goal scoring record.
Scott played in USL 2 with East Atlanta FC setting the club record for goals and was a USL 2 Top 50 Prospect in 2021. After a succesful playing career, he became a Graduate Assistant Coach at Midwestern State University before joining Young Harris College as an assistant coach for the men's team. Before joining the Sporting KC Academy, he served as the assistant coach for the University of Missouri St. Louis women's team.
Scott holds a Bachelor of Science in Excercise Science and a Master of Science in Exercise Physiology. He is NSCA CSCS, USAWL 1, FA Talent ID L1 certified and is a certified Sports Data Analyst.
